Here is my boss's experience this morning (bear in mind he is only in London every third week, so he takes it very personally!). This morning he was getting the DLR (Docklands Light Railway - kind of a monorail with no driver). They gave him a leaflet on 'service improvements'. He stepped onto the platform. Ten minutes until the next train. Irony? Humour? Taking the proverbial?! I would love them to invent fast trains on the London mass transit system. Life is pretty slow paced over here, which sometimes is bad, as they don't mind being late here at all, which is infuriating!
